Zoo Visit

We went to the zoo on Friday. I took the day off school because the kindergarters at my school were going to the zoo and since I work with the kindergarters, I would have nothing to do.

Ian loved playing on the playground.When we finally tore him away from the playground, he loved looking at the animals. If he could, he pressed his face right against the glass/plastic.We fed some birds.

We rode on the carousel.

I saw some of my kindergartners. The climbers are some of my girls.

What I'm Looking Forward to this week!

1. Going to Salt Lake and spending two nights at a bed and breakfast, just Rex and I. (for our anniversary!)
2. Going to the zoo on Friday (I'm taking the day off work since the kindergartners are going on a field trip, to the zoo).
3. Being outside more, it is supposed to be nice this week.

One another note, my cousin Anna is now engaged. He proposed last weekend. I am so excited for her. She is my best friend. But I am also trying not to be jealous of her (she is going to have a house since he bought one earlier this year). My sister and I are going to make her wedding cake. Scary and exciting! Another friends of ours is getting married this summer. Kelly is my sister Kristi's best friend. My sister Teri and I will also be doing her wedding cake. Thankfully, the two weddings are a month apart, so the will be a little less stressful.

Fun Acitivity

I recently got a book entitled 301 Bright Ideas for Busy Kids. There are a lot of cool ideas. I haven't read it all yet. One idea that I have tried so far is drawing faces, with our own twist. The activity in the book was drawing faces with washable marker in toes. So I drew a face on the bottom of each of Ian's big toes, which is kinda hard to do with small toes. I didn't get a picture of his toes before his bath. But I let Ian draw on my feet and legs, below my knees. I also did some of my feet as well. Ian had a blast drawing on my legs. My Hero, My Husband

There are times it is great when Rex doesn't have a full time job yet. I have been sick this week. He has been great to take care of stuff and Ian. Yesterday I stayed home from work. Rex took Ian with him to run a couple errands and I was able to sleep (Ian won't let me sleep if he is awake). Then Ian slept for part of the time that Rex was at work. By the time Ian woke up from that nap, I was feeling better, still not a 100%.

I am so grateful for Rex and all he does. I am glad he is my husband and we are sealed together.

Things I am looking forward to

This week I am looking forward to:

1. Getting over this sore throat/cold
2. Spring break this weekend
3. Going to Idaho (as long as we are well and Rex doesn't work)
4. Weather being warmer
