Grocery Schopping

I love to go grocery shopping, I don't know why. But I have found that the later in the day I go, the quicker and less I want to be there. Since we were gone on Rex's days off this week, I had to wait until he got off work and after dinner to go yesterday. I had wanted to go to City Market in Craig, to see what the prices were like, but I didn't have time. So I want to the Mercantile here in town. The people there are nice. There is this one old man that works there that always (the three times I have been) makes sure I am finding what I need. Ian went with me last night as well (that is the nice thing about having only one car, when I go shopping I don't have to take both boys, or Rex comes with us). Ian was a great help at the checkout stand, handing things to the cashier, of course the first things were his treats for when he goes potty (still working on getting there every time). I just got things on my list last night (I did forget lunch meat though).

Luc Thatcher

Rex's brother and his wife had their baby on Monday. They named him Luc Thatcher. He was 7 lb 10 oz and 19 inches. He is cute and I don't think there were any complications.

We left Tuesday after Rex got off work. We stayed with my parents Tuesday and Wednesday night and then went down and saw the baby. This is our first nephew (first time being an Aunt and Uncle). Ian and Jaiden finally have a cousin. Luc made Jaiden seem so big, 6 1/2 weeks can make a big difference at this age.

We got back home last night. Amazingly, Ian and Jaiden both did pretty well in the car. Ian didn't have any accidents in the car! Now at my parents' house is another story (4 or 5 accidents and he wet the bed one night).

Jaiden is now 6 weeks old. I kept thinking about posting when he was a month, but never did it. He smiles a lot now, but is hard to get on camera, this picture is the closest I got. He also coos sometimes and is so cute. He is growing a lot. We will get his official stats in a couple weeks at his two month appointment. He has rubbed a bald spot on the back of his head, which is kinda funny looking.

Ian wants to hold him a lot of the time. I still have to help him hold Jaiden, as he will randomly let go. Ian takes care of his bears while I take care of Ian. He often comes up to me and says they are crying. Jaiden doesn't cry that much.

Update

So potty training has been going okay. As I knew would happen, after I posted we had kind of a rough day with potty training. And then on Saturday, like 5 accidents and then yesterday no accidents. He has also started wearing underwear at night. That was Ian's choice, he didn't want to put his diaper on one night, so he hasn't had it on since.

See, I have cut Ian's hair (with the trimmers I got for Christmas). I also cut Rex's hair recently.

Potty Training

I am kind of scared to post about this, as it will probably jinx us, but here it goes. We started potty training Ian a week ago. He wears his underwear during the day. I have decided pull ups aren't good for potty training since they are too much like diapers. That and Ian probably wasn't ready before. Ian has been doing great. The first few days there were several accidents a day. Sunday he did great! No accidents in the car to and from church (a 25 minute drive) and he even fell asleep. No accidents during church. We did go to the bathroom like 3 or 4 times during Sacrament and then not again until after nursery. He did great yesterday as well. I still put a diaper on him at night, but this morning that was dry as well. So maybe I will try underwear at night in a few days. Ian even goes to the potty sometimes without me asking if he needs to go.

I am so proud of you, Ian!

P.S. I have cut his hair recently, just haven't taken a picture of it yet.

Happy Valentines Day, Rex!

I am so glad to be married to Rex. He is a great man. He works hard to support our family even though the job he has is not in the field he would like to be working in. He helps around the house and is a very handy fix it man. He spoils me. Yesterday he came home with girl scout cookies. He even got my favorite kind even though he doesn't like them (they have coconut). He did get himself a kind he likes.

He is a great father. Ian is always so excited when Daddy gets home.

I love you, Rex. I am glad to be sealed to you and our family.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

So this movie came out this week. I have read the whole series and liked it so I wanted to see the movie. I even had Rex read the book before we saw the movie. We dropped the boys off at a lady in our ward's house and drove to Steamboat Springs. We ate and then saw the movie.

The movie was a major DISAPPOINTMENT! Okay, if you haven't read the book, it would have been a pretty good movie. The movie didn't really follow the book. The only thing the same pretty much were the characters and the fact that Zues' lightning bolt was stolen and Percy got it back. Wasn't much else the same. I felt that left out some major things from the book.

Jaiden and Ian

The weekend before we moved, I went to a bridal fair with my sister. I had brought Jaiden with me. There was a photographer she talked to who offered to take pictures of Jaiden for free and a 5x7. So I called and we went in the day before we loaded up the truck. He did great and even took some pictures of Ian. We had to pay for the cd of pictures, but I think it was totally worth it. Teri and Josh

So I have been behind on posting things. My youngest sister is engaged. They are getting married May 1. It is weird that she is getting married, but he is a great guy. We are excited for them. So we will be in Utah for a few days at the end of April/beginning of May.

Our House

These are the rooms that are set up and free of boxes.

First we have our kitchen and dining area.

Next is the boys' room. This is their dresser, which is next to Jaiden's crib.

Our room, there is a closet on the opposite wall, but since it is missing the doors, I didn't take a picture of it.
The bathroom. We just bought the shower curtain and a matching bath rug and I love it.

I will post more pictures as rooms become box free and set up the way we like them. I still haven't put up pictures and stuff on the wall yet. I am waiting to get everything else unpacked first.

We Made It!

We are now in Hayden, CO with Rex. Our place is great. It is a townhouse with 3 bedrooms, though the third one in the basement isn't really finished, so it is going to be an office/craft room. We are also going to have the playroom down there. We have a washer and dryer too, which I love and have used several times since Saturday. The boys sharing a room has been alright so far.

We packed up the moving truck Friday morning and were done by 12:30. So we left around 2 and drove here. We had dinner in Craig and came home for the night, my family stayed in a hotel. Saturday morning we moved all our stuff in. We had my family helping, Rex's parents came (his mom held Jaiden so I could direct where to take stuff), and we had young men from the ward here and a few leaders. The Relief Society president came and helped me unpack stuff in the kitchen. We still have tons of unpacking to do. I will post pictures as we get rooms done. We also have had several sisters bring us dinners the past three nights! I think we will like it here.
